Their story

Roger Gabriel harvested his vineyard in Avenay Val d’Or for the first time in 1946. Avenay Val d’Or is a terroir classified as Premier cru. In 1984, Pascal Gabriel, trained by his father, took the responsibility of the vineyards and wine blending with the help of his wife with to create a nature friendly wine with all specific aspects of the Champagne region. After studying oenology and winegrowing techniques at the university, their son Aurélien came back in 2011 to the estate to work alongside his parents as oenologist. Thanks to the quality treatment of the land, applied daily for many years, Pagin Champagne was awarded “a high level of environment-friendly agriculture in 2014 according to the Grenelle measures of 2007.

Quality wines

More than ever, the man, his health and preserving the environment are at the heart of the concerns of Pagin Champagne. They gave themselves the tools to meet this challenge by implementing all the procedures of viticulture, including a more than substantial reduction of pesticides and herbicides. Moreover, traceability and rigour guarantee accurate monitoring plots and wines at different stages of development and a perfect mastery of the process. Aurélien, the oenologist, works in respect of the environment with the quality of the grapes in order to perpetuate the style of the house.
